Yorkshire Terrier

Yorkshire Terrier, the breed of decorative miniature dogs. Bred in the late 19 th century working-miners from the West Riding (the city is located in Yorkshire Nottingham coalfield). Puppy Yorkshire Terriers were taken to Valley Air, and very similar to the Airedale Terrier puppies. It is believed that this breed originated from crossing Skye terrier to breed black and tan terriers. It is interesting that in order to derive such a small breed requires very skillful selection (the dog weighs only 1 kg). Breed recognized by FCI, AKC, UKC, KCGB, CKC, ANKC.
Yorkshire Terrier
Yorkshire Terrier - very compact dog, similar to the long-haired toy terrier. Height at withers 23 cm Weight - 3.5 kg (sometimes less). Head flattened, with rather short muzzle and black nose. On the head hair is long, bright golden color. Especially the long hair on the muzzle and near the ears, a clear separation of colors: on the head only golden-yellow on the neck and torso - a dark, blue-steel. Ears Small, V-shaped, semi-erect or erect. The tail is docked by half, covered with hair a darker color than all the body. According to the standard wool should come down from the sides to the floor directly and precisely divided into parting from nose to tail. Recognized color blue (steel hue) with golden-fawn (darker at the roots). Puppies of this breed is born completely black.
Yorkshire Terrier with long hair

 Yorkshire Terriers are very loyal to his master, has good health. Very cheerful and sociable dog. Gets along well with all family members and with other pets. Of the hair needs thorough care.
