Beagle Harrier

Beagle Harrier, breed of hunting hounds. Bred in France by Baron Gerard in the late 19 century. mating with harrerami beagles for hunting deer, rabbits, foxes. These two breeds involved in the creation of beagles, were once one breed of hounds, so crossing them, Baron Gerard closed the circle.
Lovely, strong, stocky hound with good bone. Height at withers 38-48 cm, weight 20 kg. The head is long, but not coarse. The transition from forehead to muzzle well defined. Nose black, wide, wide open nostrils. Eyes light brown, deep set. Chest deep, well-developed. Ears are small, highly placed, hanging down in the form of the Latin letter V. Color can be accepted for any hound breeds. The coat is short, lying and dense.

Hunting the quality of this dog are close to perfection, the nature of the affable, friendly, well-balanced temperament. At trade shows does not appear often, but enjoys the universal love in the family. A simple grooming.
